	Year 11 Sixth Form Induction – Wed 26th & Thurs 27th June 2013 The next key event in our 6th Form calendar is our 2 day induction programme for all students hoping to enrol in Year 12 this September. This event kick-starts your 6th Form career here at Walton and therefore attendance is very important. Day 1 is for full-time Walton students only but on day 2 – Thursday 27th June – we shall be offering taster sessions for all A Levels taught here and this is open to all schools in the Collegiate. A full schedule with timings for this day will be posted on this website by Friday 21st June. We shall be based in the Youth Centre (located at the rear of the school and easily accessed via our Oldcroft Road entrance) and students must arrive by 8.45am to register each day. The Sixth Form team look forward to welcoming you all back to school ! June 2013 Examination Results notice PROJECT MADAGASCAR 2013 TEAM PRESENTS A MIDSUMMER EVENING OF JAZZ SATURDAY 22 JUNE 2013 AT 7.30PM TICKETS £8 INC BUFFET FROM SCHOOL Dear Parents/Carers I would like to invite you to a production of Oliver! in the school hall on the evenings of 19th and 20th June at 7.30 pm. The show has been produced and directed in its entirety by our students and in total stars over 50 students as well as 2 members of staff. Tickets are available at a cost of £4.00 either from the Finance Office or from Kelly Slade, Tom Slade, Annie Davies or Jac Norris. Hurry though, because they’re selling fast! SSP Day of Dance at Stafford Castle - Sunday 30th June Following on from the success of Walton's 'Expressions' show, Sunday 30th June will see Y7-Y10 Walton students performing at Stafford Castle on the Shakespeare production stage from approximately 2pm - 6pm as part of Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnerships Day of Dance. Wrist bands can be purchased from Stafford Gatehouse and families are welcome to stay all afternoon. Link for more: Maths day Year 10 Geography Fieldwork in Shrewsbury - May 2013 Year 10 Geographers visited Shrewsbury to study flooding and river management for their GCSE Controlled Assessment. We would ask parents to encourage their child to attend these sessions. GCSE Revision Timetable Y8 visit Wolseley Bridge - May 2013 Y8 visited Wolseley Bridge week commencing 13th May with the Geography Department. The groups went over three days and were studying the Ecosystems – erosional processes and management.
