To support our Y11 students in their GCSE preparation each department is putting on timetabled revision sessions, a copy of which can be found below. We would ask parents to encourage their child to attend these sessions.

 Y8 visit Wolseley Bridge - May 2013
Y8 visited Wolseley Bridge week commencing 13th May with the Geography Department. The groups went over three days and were studying the Ecosystems – erosional processes and management. LINK

Stafford and Stone School Sports Partnership Dance Festival 2013
 
This annual event took place on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May to sell out audiences at The Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford. Over 400 school children from Stafford and Stone took part with this year’s theme being ‘ Legacy’.
Performers from Year 9 and Year 12 took part; they choreographed their own dances and practiced in their own time. Legacy Dance Festival - May 2013
Walton Family Tri Golf Event - May 2013
Last week saw the finals of the Walton Family Tri Golf competition. Tri Golf is a great way for primary aged pupils to learn the basics of golf; chipping, putting and the etiquette. Over the last few weeks our feeder schools have been given Tri Golf coaching by Mrs Robertson which culminated in a final between Barnfields and Berkswich . Walton Family Tri Golf Event - May 2013
 Wild Flower Meadow created - May 2013
Y10 sowed a wild flower bed adjacent to the school garden. The wild flower meadow is protected by new willow fencing and has a dedicated carved wooden name plate. The flowers will provide nectar for insects, particularly bees.
CHARITY CHEQUE BENEFITS THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Walton High School held a non-uniform day and raised a fantastic £788.57 for the Eclipse Child Bereavement Service.
Crystal Johnson, Grief Support Worker at Eclipse visited Walton on the 1st May to receive the cheque from two students at Walton who had benefitted from their counselling service.
Walton U16 County Rugby Champions!
Walton took part in the U16 County Cup Final against Stafford Grammar School on Friday 19th April 2013 at Stafford Rugby Club. They won 18,0.
