WALTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
RACE AT THE ROCKINGHAM FESTIVAL 2007
Year 8 and Year 9 students from Walton's Technology Club which meets after school on Tuesdays took part in 'Greenpower at The Rockingham Festival 2007'. The event was held on Tuesday 3 July 2007 at the Rockingham Motor Speedway near Corby, Northamptonshire.
The Technology Club built a green powered race car for the Formula 24 category and submitted 6 drivers and 4 pit crew with technical advice coming from Mr D Paynter, Technology Technician at Walton High School.
It was the first time the school had entered a team at this event and they performed extremely well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
