visit national coding centre
On Friday 21st September 41 mathematicians from Walton high School visited the national coding centre at Bletchley Park.

They all had a tour of the site and learnt about the role of Bletchley Park in the Second World War.

The younger students then did some coding with Caesar shifts and pocket enigma machines and saw a real enigma machine.

The older students were given a talk on the mathematics behind the enigma machine.
