As a successful specialist science school, Walton has secured 2 years funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families to run an afterschool science club. It is aimed at Y9 pupils who have demonstrated enthusiasm, motivation and passion for science, technology and maths. Letters of application were received from students wanting to join the club which was launched in January this year. Forensic science is currently being studied including fingerprints, blood stains, incriminating footprints and drug detection. A Forensic Consultant will visit the Club in March.
