CAREERS FAIR A SUCCESS FOR KEY STAGE 4/5
 
The 2nd successful annual careers fair took place last Wednesday (11.11.09). It was well attended and representatives from local employers, training organisations and Universities (Connexions, Peopleserve, Indigo Training, South Staffordshire College, Stafford College, Staffordshire Police, Occupation Health as a Career, RAF/Navy/Army, Birmingham University, Staffordshire University, Teaching as a Career etc) attended to offer advice and assistance. There was a lively / purposeful atmosphere and it was lovely to see so many students and their parents.
 
Walton wishes to thank Staffordshire University who hosted useful talks on Student Finance and Life at University.
Exhibitors were delighted with the maturity and sensible student responses and enquiries. We look forward to a similar event at the same point in the forthcoming academic year.
Aside from a the high quality of advice received by providers, students also ‘bagged’ goodies including pens, t shirts, badges and useful careers literature.
Our thanks go to all those who ensured that the evening was such a success – particularly those organisations who gave up their time on a cold, gloomy November evening!
