Anti Bullying Week 16th-20th November 2009
National Anti Bullying Week was celebrated at Walton from 16th-20th November 2009. The theme was ‘Cyber-Bullying’ and ‘Respect each other because everyone is different’. A timetable of events was put together for staff and students including a Bully Pod; Hands; Sorry Board; Random Acts of Kindness; Selling Bands; Jokes; Raffle; Limbo; Darts; Karaoke; Cake and Hot Chocolate Sale; Video Games; Quiz; Weight of cake; Sweets in a jar; Card Tombola; Play your cards right; Face painting; Balloon Race; Keep it up; Design a t-shirt competition; Tutor ‘say something nice’; after school workshops; themed assemblies; wear blue day and finally RESPECT – ‘The Concert’. The Samaritans and the Anti Bullying Committee will benefit from the proceeds of the above events.
