CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY
THURSDAY 13TH JANUARY 2011
Members of Y8 greeted visitors to Walton High School who were attending to officially receive their Citizenship status of the United Kingdom.
Neil Finlay, Headteacher gave the opening speech. Diane Blakeley, Registrar and Erica Bayliss, Chairman of Staffordshire County Council gave welcoming speeches. The swearing/affirming was led by Diane Blakeley, Registrar.
Her Majesty's Vice Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Colonel Beattie and Erica Bayliss, Chairman of Staffordshire County Council presented the certificates. The Ceremony was concluded with Walton HIgh School's Choir singing the National Anthem with it's newly affirmed citizens.
