Geography Bay of Naples Tour
Year 13 students enjoyed a tour of The Bay of Naples over half term visiting Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, The Amalfi Coast, The Paestum Ruins, The Flavian Amphitheatre and Naples archaeological museum. At the Solfatara volcanic crater, students were able to observe jets of steam charged with sulphurous fumes, bubbling hot mud and jets of sand caused by escaping gases through crystallised rock formations. Some students were even brave enough to try the natural open air saunas known as Hell and Purgatory.
