
DIAMOND JUBILEE MEAL

Sixty local residents, aged sixty and over were invited to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. They attended a special celebration in her honour at Walton High School on Wednesday 30th May 2012.
  

These seniors were joined by sixty local primary school children from each of the local primary schools, namely All Saints, Barnfields, Berkswich, Leasowes, Oakridge.
They came together for pre dinner drinks, music from the era, a coronation meal and a screening of the coronation dvd. They enjoyed entertainment, singing, dancing and a Jubilee Quiz.
David Hancock, Chair of the Walton Community Partnership said “The evening was a wonderful success. The older and younger generations coming together at such a special time was great to see.”.
A celebration mug was given out to each person and was decorated at the tables as a reminder of the evening.
