Technology Department Curriculum & Courses
KS3
In Y7, Y8 and Y9 students study projects linked directly to the National Curriculum. They are allocated three periods a week, one double lesson and one single lesson.
During KS3 each pupil has the opportunity to study each of the areas offered on two occasions, with the exception of computer control which is only delivered in Y8.
The subject areas are Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food, Textiles, Card modeling and Computer Control.
In KS3 there is a modular program where in one year the students study four different areas and experience four different teachers. Each module runs for approximately eight teaching weeks.
