Technology Department Homework Policy
Students in KS3 and KS4 are set homework once a week or when appropriate.
Y7 - 25 minutes
Y8 - 30 minutes
Y9 - 30 minutes
Y10 - 45 minutes
Y11 - 45 minutes
Homeworks are set and then expected to be brought in the next lesson. When work is handed in it is marked and returned to the students on the following lesson.
Within this subject the home works can vary, it could be the collection of resources or a practical task.
With KS4 and KS5 staff have the discretion to set longer deadlines for pieces of work especially with the ongoing coursework requirements.
All homework is to be recorded in the students homework diary, with clear details of dates when work was set and when it is expected. Department staff need to ensure adequate time is given for this information to be written accurately.
