Pastoral Organisation
The Year system forms the basis of the pastoral organisation of the school. Tutors provide continuity and are encouraged to stay with their group.
Heads of Year rotate through Years 7 - 11
Referrals and links with outside Agencies are part of the pastoral care provided by Heads of Year. When a referral is made senior staff (student support) should be informed.
The pastoral system is supported by senior staff as follows:

The Youth Service
Youth and Community, through Kathy Williams, provide a close link with the life of the school.
Counselling and anti-Bullying Policy
Sharon Smith receives referrals for counselling and trains/directs the student counselling service.
Education Welfare Officer
Susan Martin, the Education Welfare Officer visits regularly and meets Heads of Year/senior staff as required.
Child Protection
Mrs S Crowder is the Child Protection Officer for the school and she liaises with appropriate outside agencies as required.
